Every morning, about 4-5 A.M., funeral carts collected a dozen or more corpses from the streets.

In 2019, a would-be thief approached a woman standing alone outside her home in Brazil.  The thief asked the woman for the time and then threatened her with a cardboard gun.  But unfortunately for the man, the woman he was attempting to steal from happened to be Polyana Viana, a professional MMA fighter. Rather than surrendering her belongings, Polyana hit the thief  with two punches and a kick. The aspiring thief fell, and Polyana swiftly subdued him with a rear-naked choke, detaining him until the police arrived.

  Video filmed by Patricia Birmingham in 2021 shows her final moments alive before she was shot by her husband, Carey Birmingham.  Her husband shot and killed her after he discovered she had an affair.  He was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for her death and will be up for parole after 5 years. The incident took place in a northwest Harris County home on Dec. 6, 2021. The location was the 19800 block of Rose Dawn Lane, where deputies found Patricia Birmingham dead in the driveway from an apparent gunshot wound. At the time of the incident, investigators found that the husband and his wife were the only people present at the property. Carey Birmingham, a 60-year-old Spring resident, was sentenced to only 10 years in prison even after footage captured by his wife, who was shot and killed in December 2021, moments before her death was caught on tape.  An all-female jury decided against the maximum sentence of 20 years in pris...
