In 2000, a notorious child serial killer from Pakistan, Javed Iqbal, was sentenced to be strangled to death with an iron chain, then his corpse to be cut up into 100 small pieces and his body dissolved in acid in front of the parents of his victims.

Javed Iqbal Mughal (1961 – 8 October 2001) was a Pakistani serial killer and child molester who confessed to the sexual abuse and murder of 100 young boys, ranging in age from 6 to 16. His victims were strangled, dismembered, and then dissolved in acid to destroy any evidence

At his trial, Iqbal was found guilty and sentenced to death, with his execution to take place in front of the victims' parents and be conducted in the same manner that he killed the boys.

However, Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider later decided against this. Iqbal died by suicide before any sentence could be carried out.

A Notorious Criminal's Fate

In 2000, Pakistan witnessed a shocking case involving Javed Iqbal, a notorious child serial killer. Initially sentenced to a gruesome death involving strangulation, dismemberment into 100 pieces, and dissolution in acid – all to be carried out in front of the parents of his victims – this sentence was later reconsidered by Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider.

Ultimately, Javed Iqbal took his own life before any official sentence could be carried out. The case remains a dark chapter in the history of criminal justice, highlighting the complexities and ethical considerations surrounding severe punishments.
